1180: Cultivate Events foster a sense of community for the curious artist seeking connection
1180: Cultivate events are broken out into three Series with multiple events happening within each:
• Heritage Series: This series is an art class + history lesson on hair, providing a comprehensive understanding of our craft. Watch and learn in a relaxed space with a vibe that ignites connection. Our first event from this Series is Shear your blade September 28th, 2025.
• Align Series: Focusing on the importance of wellness within the hair industry, offering insights on turning self-care practices into routines. Industry-expert 1180 friends are scheduled to teach us ways to stay healthy in our industry, authentically. Our first event of this series, Cutting out, is coming soon. • Canvas Series: Showcasing the work of inspirational artists exploring the potential of hair as a medium and expression. Teaching you to express yourself using the medium of hair just as a painter or sculptor.
All events will feature diverse lineups of artists, facilitators, educators, and friends of 1180 who are experts in their respective fields. Local vendors will offer everything from sustainable clothing, scissor sharpening services, great music, delicious food, and local beverages.
1180 Events are meticulously curated to create an atmosphere encouraging self-expression and authenticity within the hair industry. Participants are encouraged to leave their ego at the door and embrace a sense of community and curiosity.
